The Lone Star Brahmas have made some roster moves heading into their weekend series with the Topeka RoadRunners.

Two names that may be familiar to Brahmas fans will be joining the team from the Janesville Jets in Blake Ripley a 6′ 0″ – 180 pound forward from Waunakee, WI and Wyatt Mathews a 6′ 0″ – 185 pound defenseman from Bonner, MT. Both Ripley and Mathews spent time with the Wichita Falls Wildcats last season.

Mathews joined Wichita Falls late in the season and suited up for 14 games scoring four points on 0G-4A and 22 PIMs. In two games against the Brahmas, Mathews had one point on 0G-1A.

Another new face will be 6′ 2″ – 186 pound defenseman Jakub Sirota from Kromeriz, Czech Rep. Sirota played 39 games last season with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL scoring 4G-3A. Sirota was ranked 162nd among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings (4/11/17).

A third defenseman will be joining the Brahmas roster in another player who should be familiar to Lone Star fans. Connor Stuart who spent the past two seasons with the Odessa Jackalopes is 6′ 3″ – 185 pound native of Phoenix, AZ. He recorded 6G-7A in 48 games last season, but failed to get on the score sheet in six games against the Brahmas.

He was nearly a point per game scorer last season with Columbus running up 27 points in 32 games on 11G-16A and 16 PIMs. Pooley was selected by the Youngstown Phantoms in the 2017 USHL Entry Draft.

Taking the second goalie spot on the roster will be Harrison Feeney. Feeney from Lafayette Hill, PA is 6′ 2″ – 201 pounds.
