Brahmas Sending Six Players To NAHL Top Prospects


The Lone Star Brahmas are sending a total of six players the the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament to be held February 27-28, 2018 at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament is one of the most heavily scouted events in junior hockey.  Last season, over 230 scouts representing nearly every NHL and NCAA D-I school attended the event. Top Prospects is an integral part of the NAHL event model, which also includes the NAHL Showcase in September and the NAHL Robertson Cup National Championship in May.

This season Lone Star will be represented by Connor Stuart, Michael Montambault, Julian Biondo and Kyle Hallbauer playing for the South Division. There will also be two NAHL Selects Teams participating which are made up of players who have already committed to an NCAA program or who are potential NHL Draft picks. Jon Russell and Mitchell Gibson will represent the Brahmas on the NAHL Selects Red roster.

More than 50% of the players who participated in the 2017 Top Prospects Tournament, earned an NCAA Division I opportunity following their participation in the event.
